L i v i n

Lookin forward to this weekend, just can't wait to throw down in Memphis again! We've been grindin it out tryin to get some new stuff together for this show... But I must say this week is always kind of a weird week... Yesterday 9/14 marks a day that three years ago we lost a great friend and wonderful person, Adam Brown. So on this day we reminisce the good times, and try to celebrate his life. And then tomorrow is 9/16 is Jonny G.'s Birthday, another celebration of someone's life close to us, only with this one, we are blessed to have him present. So my thoughts have been like my day (9/15 today), somewhere between life and death...or is it death and life? ... As humans we don't like to discuss mortality too much, and its hard to talk about without getting immediately uncomfortable. But what I have been focusing on lately are how many Choices we are privileged to make in just a few minutes time... - more choices...I need a haircut, should I get a haircut today? Should I wear the red or the black tie to work? Should I even go into work? What cd to listen to on the way? What songs to play at the show? Do I need food right now? A six inch sandwich at subway, I mean Im not too hungry but the footlong is only 5 bucks, but I think I want chips and a drink, or maybe even cookies, now Im about to spend 9 bucks for a bunch of stuff.!!! ok you get it. . . but my one choice that is directly effecting my day. is ..How to view these often weird circumstances like today? I always liked that quote in Shawshank Redemption. You either get busy livin or get busy dying. in that light, I choose to see these situations as little reminders of just how precious our time is and that Every day. should be a good day...it is a choice. Enough ranting...

------So look out Newby's! Sean "Mito-kondria" Armbruster will be opening up for us too, so get there early to catch his set. Music starts at 9.--- 5 dollar cover. See ya there!

Winnnnnnnnn---slowwwwwwwssssssss!!

Today was a good day...

So we just got the mastered tracks back from C-note. Bumpin' them right now... Chrissy and Juan De have been grinding with their Lazer get those CDs etched to perfection. Therefore, the EP will be available at the Dance to Life Celebration. Another thing today, Diagnoleigh just sent over the Flyer for our Newby's show. Must I say the designs get pimper everytime!.... Joel, Matt, and Zeke got that super, crazy CD Burner workin tomorrow...courtesy of the man the myth, the legend, "Mr. Kickin Butt Buddy" himself, Bobby Brantley!!! And On top of that, P-Buck just hooked up this dope, sick, tight, google analyzin', world wide webbin', pro-fresh, stylin, ass website! winslowfamilyband.com... Now That right there is what its all about.. It may take every Winslow we got to get this spaceship off the ground.. But Damnit, We're takin this shit right here to the Moon, son!

So in the words of Ice Cube. Today...was a good day.
